Microsoft Power BI for Business Intelligence

This programme introduces Power BI for business reporting and analysis. Participants learn to connect data sources, transform data, build interactive dashboards, and share reports with their teams without prior BI experience.

Introduction to Business Intelligence
What BI is, where Power BI fits, and how organisations use it to support faster, more informed decisions.

Connecting and Importing Data
Connect to Excel, CSV, databases, and online sources. Import, refresh, and manage multiple data sources.

Data Transformation with Power Query
Clean, reshape, and prepare data without formulas. Handle missing values, data types, and column transformations.

Building Data Models
Create relationships between tables. Understand star schemas and how they affect report behaviour.

DAX Basics
Write calculated columns and measures using SUM, CALCULATE, FILTER, and basic date intelligence functions.

Building Reports and Visuals
Create bar charts, line charts, maps, tables, and KPI cards. Apply slicers and filters for interactive reports.

Publishing and Sharing
Publish to Power BI Service, manage workspaces, and share reports with appropriate access controls.

Final Activity

Interactive Dashboard Build. Participants build a complete sales or operations dashboard from raw data and publish it to Power BI Service.

If you are claiming under HRD Corp, the session has to fall at least 14 days after your HRD Corp approval. If you are not claiming, the date is flexible and we work around your calendar.

At your own office or venue, online, or at our training space in Cyberjaya. It can also be delivered entirely through our LMS as self-paced e-learning.

Put them on the self-paced e-learning instead. Your team works through the modules on our LMS in their own time, sits the assessment, and earns the same certificate, so nobody has to clear a full day together.
